This is a little kit to help landlords who have not protected their tenants deposit – and then find that they need to evict them using section 21.
As I explain on the >> information page, even if you want to evict for some other reason, eg rent arrears, the failure to protect the deposit will still cause you problems – as tenants can seek an award for the penalty and then offset this against your claim.
The guide sets out some suggestions for how you can resolve issues, and has sample letters you can use and a statement to use with your court proceedings later.
